Come with us up into the hill country on a gold panning trip. We will meet at the Clubhouse at 9:30 and carpool up to the Prescott area. Our guide will take us to a remote stream where gold continues to be found. After panning for flakes and nuggets in of gold in the stream we will go to Lynx Lake for a scenic hike in the beautiful fall air. Twenty dollars pays for your gold panning kit and gas for the trip. Bring along a few extra dollars for lunch, too.

We’ll meet at the clubhouse at 9:30 in the morning on the 30th. If you ride your bicycle, you will be able to lock it up there while we are gone. If you are driving to meet there, since it is a weekend you can park your car in front of the house on 15th Street.
We’ll stop at a sandwich shop or fast food place, when we arrive in the Prescott area, to have an early lunch before we get started with the panning and hiking. We intend to be back by dinner time.

Sunscreen, maybe a hat
Comfortable walking shoes – these may get wet while panning in the stream

You may want to bring a light jacket, too, since the temperature will probably be in the 70’s
You will receive the necessary gold panning supplies when we get there.
One of the requirements for trips like this is to have you sign a liability release form. This is an electronic process. To start, click here. You will enter your name and email address and click ‘next’. The liability release will appear on your screen. Click the box on the upper left to agree and click continue, then read and click ‘sign’ and finish. You will receive an email copy of the signed form.
